It says..."Congratulations on your most recent batch! 🎉" Yes, I know. It is late. But better late than never! This batch I saw in credly, brings me to the thoughts of ..how the environment can make you be..?I have re-read the motivation-theories of how Hertzberg’s two-factor Theory classified the needs into 2 broad categories, hygiene and motivating factors. Also, I have learned McClelland’s Theory of Needs which defines 3 motivators that bring you to your drives and dominant behavior. Among other theories, It is indeed that all are interesting theories and aspects to understand further.Even though I have learned all these during our tertiary education, it is worth exploring and learning more and perhaps... re-learning.Now, I sit and ponder....what is your motivation? perhaps...to be the one who you want to be? 😉 #justathought #projectmanagementprofessional #learningneverends

Finding Chip Fab Construction and Manufacturing TalentIdentifying and securing tradespeople who can handle the intricate needs of chip fab construction is something that needs more attention and thought, Shari Liss, executive director of the SEMI Foundation, a nonprofit arm of SEMI that focuses on workforce development programs, told EE Times in an exclusive interview. Many Chips manufacturing developments have become interested in building and developing partnerships to advance apprenticeships to address the needs for technicians and operators, within the state and industry. However, establishing these qualified apprenticeship programs can take about a year or more, and they can run between 18 and 24 months. Associated with this is workforce inclusion and equity since minorities have historically been underrepresented in technology and chips research and manufacturing requires special skills normally not part of technical and career education currently. This may complicate goals the United States has to quickly onshore semiconductor manufacturing. Many Fab sites are being planned in rural settings as part of state economic development strategies and can pose additional stress on access to the jobs being created from persons living in urban areas.https://lnkd.in/gvzk6C3y

I had a great conversation last week with an AM industry thought leader at #PowderMet2024. She encouraged us to continue telling the story of our journey as an AM contract manufacturer, and to refine our value proposition in the industry. Thank you Cynthia Rogers As an organization of 700 employee-owners focused on precision manufacturing, we’ve always had a high level of vertical integration to offer our customers. The reality is very rarely do customers use the full variety of our overall capabilities (Tool & Die, Precision Grinding, Precision Machining, Carbide Manufactuing, Stamping, Laser Cutting, Reel-to-Reel Plating, Plastic Injection Molding, Mold Design & Build, and Parker Majestic). Our true value-add for our customers is #VerticalKnowlege across our diverse set of capabilities. Our goal is the use this #VerticalKnowlege to refine the best manufacturing process to make products for our customers. We have been applying this value proposition to AM for the past 6 years. We are very proud of the unique, complex parts we have produced, and moved into serial production on first-in-the-world components that are solving highly complicated problems. With a large set of machining and post process capabilities, we are ideally positioned to support the growing demands of AM part production. We’re excited to be at RAPID + TCT 2024, and thrilled to be part of “Yinzer Corner” with the teams at #Neighborhood91.#Rapidevent #yinzercorner #precisionmanufacturing #employeeownership #metaladditivemanufacturing
